Why a Website is Important for Business

Wondering if you should take advantage of the word wide web as business strategy? If you have a business and don’t have a website, you are losing out on great opportunities for your business. A website itself can be used to accomplish many different marketing strategies to help your business grow. As a business owner, you need to know where your consumers are. But what if consumers know your business and what you can offer, but they can’t reach you? That is one of the risks you take by not having a website for your business. Let’s talk about costs efficiency. when you have a store front you have to worry about security and maintenance as well as a number of other things that may cost you a pretty penny. Not to mention you only get local foot traffic. With a website, you can sell your products and services online and your not limited to selling locally. A strategically developed website and online presence solution provides tremendous benefits and costing outlines. And maintaining a website, updating products and prices, is easier because it’s literally just a few simple clicks. Another thing to consider if the fact that your website is accessible around the clock. Even if you have a store front, you are more than likely only selling your products and services during business hours. Your website and social media accounts are accessible 24/7/365. Imagine that you want to buy from a store. You put in all the effort required to go to the store, but when you get there, it’s closed. We all know how irate we feel in that situation. Since your website is operational around the clock, from the convenience of the local coffee shop, their couch or their bed, your customers and clients can easily access your website and services which makes buying online a huge convenience. Smart businesses realise this and thus have their own website housing their products and services so that potential customers can browse online for the products they want to purchase. Believe it or not, most people will search the internet for a product or service before the purchase to check the credibility first. When you provide good service or product, positive word-of-mouth about your business is likely to spread. Which in turn, delivers more repeat and new business. People tend to trust a business after they have done business with it. Using your website, you can continuously serve consumers online and increase your credibility as a business owner. In short, being visible worldwide means you are very likely to gain more customers. The more customers and visitors you have, the more sales you will generate. The more sales you generate the happier you and your shareholders will be. It is imperative for every business to have a website. The more professional your website is, the more advantages you can gain. If you need a website for your business call us at Elegant Image Studios. Well with web design, this rule can lead you to get a bad product or even worse, LOSE MONEY! Do not despair, there are also benefits of a having a cheap web designer.  So let us see what the advantages and disadvantages of hiring a cheap web designer for your business or blog. First, Let us Look At What Makes a Good Web Design (see image to the right) Domain Name Advice & Service Hosting Advice & Service Tech Purpose Layout & Color Site Map Content Audience Advertisement Pop Up Message Attractive Design Buttons Background Images Easy Navigation Unique Fresh Optimized Cross Browser Compatibility Screen Resolution Social Media Typography Registration Tracking & Analytics Provide Security Footer As you can see, a lot of things go into making a good web design which are usually incorporated by good web design companies. Whether it be incorporating social media, tracking analytics, or good layout colors. Now this shows what actually has to go into a website, which is a lot of work. Now imagine how much work that would take to incorporate every single one of those elements. This is where a cheap web designer comes in. So let us look at the disadvantages of having a cheap web designer. Disadvantages of a Cheap Web Designer: 1. You Get What You Paid For If you are buying a cheap product, chances are that it will not be build with quality. It will break, not last long, and may be even harmful. In the case of a spending $100-$200 on a cheap web design by a cheap website design company, it means that you will get a mediocre website because you did not compensate the web designer enough. Remember, this is PROFESSIONAL WORK, therefore it should be treated with a professional price. When you pay little for professional work, you are going to get a website that functions poorly, does not have any search engine optimization, and is destined to turn your viewers away to go somewhere else. Little pay for a web site will usually get little work done to it, at least the amount of work that you paid for. A cheap web design service is not always the best way to go, especially for your business. A website is kind of like an investment, you put more money in and you get more money out! So think twice about getting a web design cheap from some place online for $100. 2. A Cheap Web Designer Will Usually Not Give You A Return On Investment A cheap web designer will usually put enough work that you paid him to do, therefore it will be the bare basics. When it comes to web design, the bear basic are not enough. You need search engine optimization, which will get you to the top sports of Google and in return drive TONNES OF TRAFFIC to you website.  You also might not get a responsive web design which will cater to the needs of people searching for your website on a tablet or mobile phone. This will hurt your chances of getting traffic, sales, and a return on your investment from your website. Advantages Of A Cheap Web Designer: 1. Having  Saved Money If you do you a  lot of research for a honest and cheap freelance web designer that can create a great website for you for a good price then you might get lucky and save money. This is especially true if you don’t plan to use your website for major traffic, just local traffic. 2. Finding a Diamond in the Rough Hiring a good web designer cheap can mean that you just found a contact that can help you build other websites. This is important and can be a tremendous help to all your friends. So if you look hard enough, you just might find a diamond in the rough. In the end, Hiring a cheap web designer can be a bit risky and give you a low return on your money.

How to use Google Keyword tool to write your blog posts

What are keywords?  Keywords are words, terms, or phrases people enter into search engines when looking for a particular topic. In order to use the Google Keyword Planner, you need to set up an AdWords account. You do not have to pay for ads to use the Keyword Planner. Set up Google AdWords Go to https://adwords.google.com/KeywordPlanner Fill in your email address and website (un-check any undesired services) Fill out your personal information Verify your account Google isn’t going to let you in until you set up your first campaign. So, quickly fill in the required information. I put $1 in the daily budget. Yes, they’ll even make you put in your credit card information. But, you do not have to activate your campaign. You card will not be charged any fees to use the Keyword Planner. Review, and click finish and create campaign. Head to your email and verify your account You now have access to Google Keyword Planner, click Take me to my account. Okay, now that your account is all set up, you’ll never have to go through those steps again. You’ll be able to log in and only use the Keyword Planner. How to use the Keyword Planner Go ahead and ignore Google’s promptings to start your first campaign (unless you want to, then by all means, go ahead!) In the top navigation bar click tools and drop down to Keyword Planner. Under What would you like to do? click Search for new keyword and ad group ides Type a handful of words or phrases related to your post. Use a comma to separate different keywords. Click Get ideas Underneath the graph, click the tab Keyword Ideas You will be given results for the keywords you searched for + relevant keywords! Why use Google Keywords Who doesn’t want more blog traffic from search engines? Using the Keyword Planner tool can help you narrow in on what people are searching for. I have found that I don’t always use the same phrases as most people, so I’ll go through and change those phrases. It can also give you ideas for future posts. Post By: By Kristie Hill

Can’t I Just Build My Own Website?

Sure you can build your own website. But here are some questions you might want to ask yourself before you start: Will it look professional? I can bring up site after site out there on the internet and can tell from first glance if it was done by a professional or the site owner. Studies have shown that one will always get more business from a professional looking website vs. a non-professional website. And yes there are many design firms out there today who CLAIM they are professionals when in fact they are far from being professional at anything they do.  I personally will not shop from any site or do business with anyone unless they have a presentable website. Every time I stumble upon a shotty designed site I always email that company to introduce myself and my business in case they ever need our services on down the road. Websites do cost money but we can within your budget in order to make your site look classy and stand out. Keep this in mind…Yes a professionally designed site will cost you money but on down the road it will make you money. Do you know about Alt tags? Alt tags are important. Google loves Alt tags on images. I won’t go into depth on the subject because after all this is not a training class but make sure you use them. Do you know how to properly set up SEO? Ahhh so you want your site to be found on the net? Then make sure you hire a professional. Sure, you can buy those books on how to set up your own SEO and spend hours and hours yourself trying to set it up. But seriously, do you know about Keyword Phrases? Do you really know how to make sure your site description meta matches up to your page content? Are you really a Keyword Spammer? Keyword Spamming will get you knocked off Google searches in a heartbeat. And that brings up Link Building…Don’t do it! Just Don’t! Do you know how to buy a domain name? Many sites on the net today will charge you outrageous amounts on domain names. Be careful. We offer Domain Names at a great price and even offer advice on the best kind to get. Please stay away from having a “-” in your domain name. Do you know how to set up hosting? Yes you will need hosting in order to build your site and you will need to make sure your domain name points to that hosting account. Most companies will assist in getting that set up for you for a fee. Make sure you don’t get taken advantaged of. Do you have access to stock photos? Remember if you grab an image from the internet to use on your website, you can be sued for using that said image without authorization. Keep that in mind. Do you know how to set up email accounts? I am not speaking of emails with yahoo or gmail. Your business should have professional email addresses set up with your domain name such as info@yoursiteaddress.com. Don’t use yahoo for business emails. It is not professional. Do you have a marketing background? This is so very important. If you have no marketing background then you should take the advice of a professional. You might think something looks great to your eye but from a marketing standpoint I bet it looks terrible and will not work. Hire a professional to make the banner images on your slider and to give you advice on making your site stand out. I get some clients who actually hire our team and destroy the site design because they want it to look just like another site on the net that is boring and blah looking. If you let me roll with it I will make you leave your competitors in the dust. Do you really know how to develop a site? So you bought a wordpress theme template. That is awesome! But wait…you install the theme and there is still a blank white screen staring back at you. Ahhhh, that is because you actually need to know how to install plugins and know how to work with the visual builders and such to make the site look presentable. Darn it…you thought it was gonna look like the demo you viewed. Sorry it doesn’t work like that.

Why Isn’t Anyone Visiting My Website?

Often times people will have a website built and think to themselves, “”I’m going to make a lot of money!” Unfortunately, that is often times not the case. You cannot build it and expect them to come.  Websites are awesome for marketing any kind of business. Large or Small but the problem is, potential customers have to find your site first. If your site lacks traffic, you are not doing the following things. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Take a moment and think of search engines like phone books. People use them to find what they are looking for. Your website needs to be optimized for specific keywords to be listed in the top search engines. Most consumer will only search the first page for products and services and getting on that first page can be a real challenge. However, if you choose the right keyword with the least competition, you can get your website on the first page. This means automatic incoming traffic to your website. PPC (Pay Per Click) If you are not already using a pay-per-click campaign. Setting one up can be quite confusing and tedious. We can help. This way, if you are having a hard time getting listed on the first page of search engines, you can pay your way onto the first page. Major companies use social media networks to buy clicks that usually send users to a landing page. Landing pages allow site owners to market a specific discount, service or item for the users email address. The site owner will later use that email  to send out newsletters and other promotions to try and get the user to buy something from their website. Social Media Have you included social media links and share buttons on your website? If not, you should. Social media is an effective way to get visitors to your website. Social networks are in real-time. When you post a link on  a social network the clicks you receive from that link is almost instantaneously. Work on growing your social networks and create and audience that you can market to throughout the day. Blogging You don’t have any interesting content on your website and you aren’t blogging. In today’s world information is what most people are searching for. How to this and what is that. Start blogging on your website now. If you do not have a blog, you are behind. If you are having trouble figuring out what to write about, think of what your site visitors may want to know. Don’t simply blog about your business or what you’re doing. Choose topics that your visitors can benefit from. For instance if you sell cars, make a blog about car care. What can your visitors do to keep their cars in tip top shape? Those are the types of things your readers want to know. Street Advertising Even if you are an internet based business, don’t neglect to use conventional advertising. On your business cards, add your website URL and social media handles. Use branded hash tags on promotional t-shirts and coffee mugs that you give away. These advertising methods still work.
